Introducing Jeow Som, which literally translates to Chili Dipping Sauce, the vibrant Lao condiment that will quickly become your essential meal prep ingredient. This sauce is celebrated for its perfectly balanced, multi-faceted flavor profile—intensely sweet, fiery spicy, deeply salty, and wonderfully sour. We build this authentic taste using a powerful combination of fresh lime juice, savory fish sauce, minced garlic, and blazing bird’s eye chili peppers. To support your health and fitness goals, we utilize a calorie-free monk fruit sweetener as an adaptation, ensuring this potent sauce remains virtually calorie-free while drastically enhancing the flavor of any meal you prepare.
INGREDIENTS;
- 3 to 5 birds eye chili peppers
- 2-3 garlic cloves
- 2-3 tbsp of good fish sauce (we like the squid brand)
- 1 lime juiced
- 1 tbsp of monk fruit sweetener

DIRECTIONS:
In a large mortar add the chili peppers and garlic. Place your open palm over the top opening (to avoid splashing chilis in your eyes) and crush the ingredients with the pestle. When you have a smooth paste add in the monk fruit sweetener and give a good mix. Add in the fish sauce and lime and blend thoroughly. You can play with the ingredients some like it with more spice, fish sauce, or sugar. This low calorie dipping sauce goes great with anything!
