SWEET POTATO SOUP

INGREDIENTS

Salt and freshly ground black pepper
½ tsp garlic & onion powder
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon chili powder
Pinch freshly grated nutmeg
preboiled & chilled sweet potato
low fat chicken or vegetable broth

SWEET POTATO MACROS

  • 1oz of sweet potato contains
  • 5 grams carbohydrate
  • 0.7 grams fiber

DIRECTIONS

Weigh your portion of sweet potato (eg 30 carbs = 6oz). Heat pot on medium, add portion of sweet potato, spices, and broth starting with 1 cup. Use immersion blender until smooth, adding broth to desired thickness. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
